Frameless glass balustrades for clear views
New Zealand’s outdoor culture has made frameless glass balustrade finishes very popular, for retaining views and enhancing the look of the home, all whilst safely enclosing the area.
Our Edgetec® frameless glass balustrade systems use either 12mm or 15mm toughened polished edge safety glass infill, with an interlinking top rail finished in a powder coat colour that matches the balustrades.
New regulations introduced in June 2016 require all frameless balustrades are fitted with a continuous, interlinking rail (that is fixed to a building element). The Edgetec 38mm x 30mm interlinking rail has been designed to comply with this and to combine seamlessly into the overall finished look.
* An interlinking top rail is not required on Edgetec frameless glass pool fencing.
Edgetec® Mini Post
A popular choice for their modern, minimalist stylish finish and for the best in uncluttered views. Mini Posts are an adjustable aluminium post clamping system with hidden fixings, for installing 12mm toughened glass panels as balustrades and/or pool fencing*.
Manufactured from extruded architectural grade aluminium, Mini Posts can be finished in a choice of custom powder coated colours (from a wide range of Dulux Colours) or a natural anodised finish. Dulux powder coat finishes come with the Dulux Duralloy 10 year warranty or Duratec 20 year warranty.

Edgetec® JH Clamp
The JH Clamp system offers another design option in the Edgetec® frameless glass balustrade range, using a a minimalist aluminium clamp to front fix toughened glass panels to decks and balconies.
Aluminium clamps fix 12mm toughened glass panels, set at 600mm centres to the front face of decks, for a minimally intrusive finish that is not obstructed by any posts. The interlinking top rail is finished in a powder coat colour that matches the JH Clamp fixings, for a cohesive and visually uncluttered look, especially so when compared to fittings such as stainless steel discs.
Edgetec® Infinity
The latest addition to the Edgetec® Frameless Glass range, Infinity is a cantilevered face or top fixed balustrade system, with a sleek finish, that encloses 12mm or 15mm toughened glass panels and then finished with an interlinking top rail.
Constructed from high quality aluminium, the Infinity system uses proprietary clamps to fix the glass panels, without any need for holes in the glass. Infinity clamps are based on the patented technology of the Edgetec Mini Post, which have been a proven success in installations throughout New Zealand.
Edgetec® Double Disc Anchor
The Edgetec Double Disc anchor is a 50mm diameter round, traditional anchor fixing which fits 12mm or 15mm toughened glass panels to the deck face for a sleek, minimalist balustrade finish.
With the recent introduction of an aluminium Double Disc Anchor fixing, a world of colour has opened up for these balustrades. Aluminium Disc Anchors can be finished in a choice of over 40 powder coat colours, which can match the homes joinery or balustrade top rails for a modern, cohesive finish. Or, if you prefer the ever popular stainless steel finish, the Double Disc anchors are still offered in a polished stainless steel finish, with standard hidden fixings.
